Feedback Friday – 13.10
It’s Friday, time for the “Feedback Friday” column.
From Friday to Thursday, you can leave your questions on the Twinmotion forum, under the “Feedback Friday” post on the Twinmotion Facebook page, or #Twinmotion on Twitter. The most asked questions will be answered the following Friday.
Let’s get started!
- Why does Twinmotion need 3072.0 GB to install on Windows 7?
Sometimes, Windows 7 users may have this installation issue. The problem is due to the incompatibility of Windows 7 with the Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
By doing the system update via the Windows Updates, the problem will be solved.

- Where can I find the sculpt tool in Twinmotion?
The Sculpt tool works with an imported landscape or landscape from the Twinmotion library.
Two landscapes are provided by default in the Terrain library.

Customized landscapes can be imported via the import panel. The compatible format for imported landscapes are: *.r16; *.png; *.txt; *.xyz; *.skp; *.fbx; *.dae; *.obj; *.c4d

- Does Twinmotion have perspective correction?
This is a functionality that doesn’t exist by default in Unreal Engine. It’s on the wishlist and Abvent is working closely with the Epic team on this matter.
- How do I animate an object in Twinmotion?
In Twinmotion 2018, a new feature called Custom Path allows you to create a simple animated path for any objects in the library. Therefore, it’s possible to create a landing airplane, a floating air balloon, a sliding door etc.
Some objects are animated by default in the Twinmotion library, such as: the crane and boats.
Importing an animated object is not possible at the moment. Please feel free to send your wishes for animated objects; the development team will be glad to add it directly in the library.
- How do I update a model that I’ve modified?
You can at any moment modify your original model and update it in Twinmotion. To do so, click the “update” icon above the imported model.
Clik here to view.

While reloading your modified model, Twinmotion keeps all the work you’ve done before, except the painted vegetation on the imported model.
To avoid losing vegetation while reloading a model, it is recommended to import your terrain separately from the rest of the model.
That’s all for this week. Submit your questions on Facebook, Twitter or the Twinmotion Forum and see you next Friday!
