Feedback Friday: Twinmotion 2018 tips – April 27, 2018
Hi, everyone! It’s time for our Friday meet-up to talk about Twinmotion 2018 tips and to answer questions you’ve asked on social media.
Let’s get started!
This time, we’ll cover the following subjects:
- How do I stimulate river flow in Twinmotion 2018?
- Does Twinlinker keep my entire old project when it is released?
- Does Twinmotion have native support for substance designer (.sbsar) materials including exposed parameters?
How do I stimulate river flow in Twinmotion 2018?
There are two forms of water in Twinmotion 2018: water material and water volumes. For an irregular shape like a river, it’s better to use water material directly. The tip is to place a plane above the river and apply water to it. And it’s done!

Does Twinlinker keep my entire old project when it is released?
Yes, of course.
Twinlinker, the architectural virtual visits app, is out of Beta and officially online now!
The new Twinlinker allows you to easily create and share virtual visits directly into your browser with media from Twinmotion 2018 or Artlantis 7. It will also keep all the images, panorama and videos you’ve previously created using Twinmotion 2018.
Does Twinmotion have native support for substance designer (.sbsar) materials including exposed parameters?
No. The current Twinmotion 2018 doesn’t support native Substance designer materials. You can, however, import your Substance textures and create a new material inside Twinmotion. Check this article to learn how to create a PBR material in Twinmotion 2018.
That’s all for this time.
See you in the next blog!
